NEW BLACK BELTS AT BRITKA
A big well done to Joe Phillips and Alex Browne for passing
their 1st Dan black belts on Saturday 1st March. Both students
excelled and showed great skill and dedication. Also thank you to John, Ruby and Anthony for their help at the grading. John suffered a small fracture to his hand. But continued to help with the sparring.

TV film crew visit Britka
On Thursday 5th April 2007 we were visited by a TV film crew, They filmed Russell, Will, Jon and Ruby showing some self defence, stick and knife defence.
Russell was then filmed asking a question for Tony Blair and Gordon Brown regarding the low and rarely
used prison sentences for people that carry knives in the street. Russell, (as many people also would like) wants to see a minimum 5 years in prison for carrying a knife, the same as for carrying a gun.

The program was presented by Donal MacIntyre, June Sarpong and criminal behavioural psychologist Laura Richards.
Guests on the program were Linda Robson, Mica Paris, Richard Blackwood and Jeff Brazier.
The small audience of around 70 were people that have either had their lives devastated by knife attacks or specialists in various fields related to understanding and tackling violent crime.

Well done to Antonio, Thomas, Jon, Christian, Anthony and Georgia for passing their 1st Dan black belt grading on Saturday 8th November 2008. They all worked really hard towards this grading and that dedication really paid off.
