At Britka karate we are fully against the carrying of knives or any edged weapons in the street, whether
for self protection, criminal acts of aggression, revenge, or for any other reason.

What about if you are a trademan and use a knife
of some description in your work?
or you use a knife to scale fish when fishing?
or you use a knife when hunting or maybe camping?

Well I am a carpenter by trade and in my tool box I
have many tools that could cut and stab and bash someones head in, but I would never carry them
around in my pocket, especially not to the pub,
we have all heard the story of the carpet fitter
that was arrested when the pubs turned out for carrying a stanley knife in his pocket, he said he had forgotten it was there after he finished work earlier.
I have one thing to say on that point, what a crock!!!

Anyone who carries a knife for any reason on the street, needs to think about the following!

If you carry a knife could you use it?
Because if you carry a knife you probably will use it one day, you may not mean to, you may not want to,
but it will happen. Then what? you very probably will
kill someone, someones son, or daughter or father maybe, how would you feel if it was your child or your Dad or Mum that got stabbed?

So now you have stabbed someone, there's no going back!
"Well he tried to steal my phone" I hear you say
or "he starting chatting to my girlfriend"
Or maybe "he beat up my mate last week and I saw him in the street and thought I'd teach him a lesson"
Well you did, "at the time it seemed like a good idea"
I hear you say.

Well in the cold light of day your life is now ****ed

You will have to live with the fact that you have taken someones life, you have stopped them having children, or taken a childs father away from them. Very probably go to prison for murder, because nowdays with DNA and CCTV everywhere you will get caught.

Anyway as much as I want to keep harping on about carrying a knife, I know! or should I say I hope that you are sensible enough to know all of the above and
never carry a knife. Because you are a person that cares about other people, please tell me that I am right, please tell me that you are not another coward that carries a knife!
Well you've read this so you must care!

Email me your opinion or stories about knives and I will put it on this site.
