New students are alway made to feel welcome, and can
progress at their own pace, we know from experience that
all students have different learning abilities, some students
learn and master techniques very quickly, and some students take longer to learn and can have difficulty copying and remembering what they are shown.

But even the slower learners do improve and get great satisfaction and confidence boost, as they earn their next
coloured belt!

Britka karate was founded in 1991 by Sensei Tony Newman, in Shoeburyness, Essex.

Russell Garrard became chief instructor in 1995.
Britka quickly developed and due to demand opened a new class in Leigh on Sea in 2000.

In 2005 new classes were opened in Hadleigh, essex.

At britka karate we welcome new students aged from
5 up to Adult.
Our classes are structured by age and grade.
We have beginners classes for juniors and for adults.
As students learn and earn their coloured belts, they progress to the next level class.
